JESSICA VALENZUELA, EMPRESS & CURATOR

Jessica Valenzuela is a natural entrepreneur with twelve-years of experience delivering in product development, marketing and digital advertising. She was an integral part of the team that launched Kaplan’s financial education online university. During a subsequent job consulting for Accenture, New York City lured Jessica and her passions for creative, design and technology, leading her to produce award-winning integrated campaigns at Madison Avenue’s top advertising agencies. In 2008, Jessica flexed her entrepreneurial muscle by creating Mavin Digital, Inc. working with Forbes.com, Moet Hennessey, Gwen Stefani and more! When she’s not producing or curating Jessica is looking for her next adventure whether it’s travel, kiteboarding, snowboarding or climbing. She studied Business Information Technology at DePaul University and has a BS in Hotel Restaurant Management from the University of the Philippines.

She has designed apps for Anti-Bride as well as ads for international publications such as Eco-Beautiful Weddings, Destination I Do magazines and the new look of Mavin Digital. Ashley has a BS in Art and Design from The Art Institute of California.

    Aswini Anburajan is a born storyteller, writing and producing stories since she was a child. She brings with her the craft of weaving a compelling story to drive sales and build brand awareness to her work with clients across a variety of industries. With a background in broadcast, Aswini has spent worked for NBC News and ABCNews.com where she was a part of pushing television newsrooms to adopt the use of digital media. Her work since has covered digital branding, strategy and partnerships, advertising and e-commerce. Of late her focus has been on integrating digital advertising with mobile campaigns. Aswini has an MBA from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelors in International Relations from Brown University.

    Christine Sullivan is an art director, designer and a fIfteen-year advertising veteran in New York City having worked for clients as diverse as the Guggenheim Museum, Restaurant Associates and The New Press as well as advertising agencies DDB, Grey G2 and Bozell. Christine began her career as an advertising copywriter. Before long, she realized she wanted to direct - art direct, that is. During a brief stay in L.A. Christine took classes at one of the world’s most cutting edge communication arts schools, Art Center. She also studied computer graphics at UCLA. The experience sent Christine back to New York a bona fide advertising art director, where she eventually worked her way up to Associate Creative Director at Merkeley Newman Harty Heathworks. Today, Christine continues to work mostly in the corporate, arts and nonprofit arenas. Forever enticed by new opportunities and developments in the world of communications, Christine’s strong foundation in and love for great concept and design is at the forefront of any new project she takes on.

    Timothy Jaeger’s focus is on bringing innovative products to market as quickly as possible and with few obstacles, working with agile teams across the globe to develop solutions for clients in the Internet and Mobile industry. He is result-driven and imaginative, always seeking new and better ways of getting things done. Tim started out working for startups in NYC such as Massify, cutting his teeth on front-end development and design. He digs information, finding new solutions to old problems, collaborating, whiteboarding sessions and intellectualizing “stuff”. He has worked on iPhone / Android apps for Grand Marnier and Weatherwise. He's currently working on ways of creating engaging and casual mobile games. If he could be anywhere in the world he would be running on dangerous trails at night.

  • OMAR SALAZAR, LAWYER

    O. Omar Salazar received a B.A. in Law and Society at the University of California in San Diego, graduating with Provost’s Honors. Prior to attending law school, he lived in Madrid, Spain where he studied at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and interned at two international organizations focused on international trade and business. He went on to attend the University of San Francisco School of Law with a visiting year at the University of California Berkeley School of Law. During law school, he was a judicial extern for Justice Carlos Moreno at the California Supreme Court and for Judge Susan Illston of the US District Court for Northern District of California. Mr. Salazar was a published author of the USF Law Review and a member of the Intellectual Property Law Bulletin. He also participated in several clinics and projects where he focused on business law, civil, immigration and employment litigation. Prior to collaborating with Mavin Digital, he worked for a boutique immigration law firm in San Francisco, the Federal Trade Commission in Washington, DC and in the in-house legal departments of two Fortune 500 companies. He is licensed to practice law in California and is a native Spanish speaker.

    Gabriel Rothman is an ace writer/communicator with a disarming personality and a head for strategic thinking. Gabe possesses a diverse skill set and a cross-functional professional background, which allows him to thrive in his multifaceted role. Currently in the midst of a career change, he comes to Mavin Digital after spending the last four years working as an attorney practicing real estate, construction and general business litigation. In his legal practice, Gabe was known as a go-to guy for research and writing - having never lost a motion or motion opposition - as well as a creative case strategist and law firm marketing resource. Prior to law school, he worked as a graphic designer supporting IBM sales, and was a project coordinator in charge of interdepartmental communication and work-flow management in the development of DHL Worldwide Express' ground shipping product. His rare combination of left and right-brained skills make him an asset in any endeavor he takes on. Gabe can be found running with his boxer dog, painting, writing and following his beloved UCLA Bruins. He received his J.D. from UC Hastings College of the Law and his B.A. in English from UCLA.

She spends her free time baking, blogging, reading novels or watching Law and Order. One day, she'll travel the world.
